Ahh, Fresh Internet Digs + WordPress Migration + HTML5? CSS3? WTF?!

Just when you thought that I had gone away — HA! Here I am.

I’m working on getting my coding back up to code (see what I did there?), and today I learned how to migrate a WordPress site to a new host! Yay! It’s up, and it’s working — the only thing that was iffy was the photo plugin, and I’m not sure that wasn’t the plugin’s fault instead of mine. NOW I’m on my new host (cheaper, yay!) with a NEW photo plugin, and all is well. Check out the new digs (you won’t see a difference!) and leave a comment, if you like!

I used to do lots of pretty websites back in the early 2000s when I was just a whipper-snapper, and I stopped about five years ago because I got a print design job that ate my time like a fat kid in a cake shop… When I came up from that diversion, I discovered a lot can change on the web in five years! Flash is no longer really a thing — what!? — and so animations have to be done in other ways… Now I’m learning HTML5 and CSS3 and face-desking my way through Javascript. Eep!

Keep up with my triumphs/struggles here!
